Orthopedic care

Orthopedists are doctors who take care of the entire musculoskeletal system. They diagnose and treat conditions such sprains, strains, broken bones, arthritis and osteoporosis. Some of the treatments they offer include recommending lifestyle changes, applying casts and performing surgeries, such as ligament repairs or total joint replacements.

  • Arthroscopy: examination of the interior of a joint using a specially designed endoscope
  • Carpal tunnel release: surgical procedure for relieving pain felt in the hand or wrist caused by carpal tunnel syndrome
  • Meniscectomy: procedure to treat a tear of the meniscus
  • Partial joint replacement: procedure to replace only a portion of a joint with an artificial component

  • Total joint replacement: procedure to replace a compromised joint with a complete artificial joint

Minimally invasive hip replacement surgery

The direct anterior hip replacement is a minimally invasive approach to replacing the hip joint. This advanced technique allows the surgeon to replace the hip joint without detaching any muscles or tendons from the pelvis or femur.

This procedure is made easier by using a special hip and knee arthroplasty table, which allows proper positioning of the hip for surgery.

Minimally invasive hip replacement offers several benefits compared to traditional hip replacement, such as:

  • Earlier return to daily activities
  • Earlier return to sports
  • Faster rehabilitation
  • Lower risk of dislocation
  • More accurate leg length
  • Shorter hospital stay
  • Smaller incision, which means less postoperative pain

Preoperative Joint Camp Program

Our Preoperative Joint Camp Program is designed to help you prepare for hip or knee replacement surgery. Be sure to ask your doctor about this program prior to your surgery.

Spine care

Our spine specialists are skilled in effectively diagnosing and treating acute and chronic back pain and spine disorders. Our comprehensive spine care program includes nonsurgical treatments, interventional spine procedures, and spine surgery.

Our spine surgeons perform procedures such as laminectomy and spinal fusion, and they use minimally invasive techniques when possible.

Orthopedic rehabilitation

After you have been treated for your orthopedic condition, we want to ensure you heal properly and regain strength. Through personalized physical therapy and rehabilitation techniques, our licensed rehabilitation specialists work with you in a private setting, at your own pace and comfort level.

Our physical therapy team is here to help you recover and get back to the things you love as quickly and safely as possible.

Comprehensive Care for Joint Replacement (CJR)

We are proud to participate in Medicare’s Comprehensive Care for Joint Replacement (CJR) program. The CJR program promotes high-quality, cost-efficient and better-coordinated care for patients undergoing hip and knee replacement surgery.

We work closely with CJR doctors and post-acute care providers to improve quality and coordinate care from initial hospitalization through recovery. The CJR program allows facilities like ours to enter into financial gain-sharing relationships with its collaborators to share in the success of the program.

Our hospital's written policy for selecting CJR collaborators is available for download here.
