Cardiac rehabilitation program

Cardiac rehabilitation is a medically supervised process designed to help patients improve their heart health and quality of life after a heart surgery, heart event or heart disease diagnosis. Patients commonly participate in cardiac rehabilitation following a heart attack, bypass surgery, chronic chest pain, stenting, heart transplant and valve repair or replacement.

Our cardiac rehabilitation specialists work with each patient to develop a program tailored to the patient's needs and goals. Cardiac rehabilitation programs typically take place three times a week for approximately 12 weeks, or a total of 36 sessions

We know that receiving a heart disease diagnosis and subsequent recovery efforts can be challenging both physically and mentally. Our cardiac rehabilitation program helps patients focus on several ways to improve their health and reduce their risk of future cardiovascular events, such as supervised exercise and heart-healthy lifestyle education. Although these strategies are well-known, they must be put into practice in order to see results. To help patients navigate the road to cardiovascular health, the cardiac rehab team creates a personalized cardiac rehabilitation plan designed to meet each patient's individual needs.

A doctor's referral is required to participate in cardiac rehabilitation.
