Shyam Swain, MD graduated from M K C G medical college India in 1973. He completed his residency in General Surgery at P G I- Chandigarh in 1981. He joined Coal India as Surgeon in 1981 and was chief of surgery from 1984-1992. He completed Residency in Anesthesia and a mini fellowship in pain management in 1996 at Montefiore Medical Center/ Albert Einstein College of Medicine, New York. He moved to Hernando county in 1996 with his wife Ketaki (Keti) and 3 children to practice pain medicine in the twin counties, Hernando and Pasco. He established Keti Medical Center in 1997. His two sons (Sam & Shipu) are presently in medical school and will soon join him in his practice.
Dr. Swain's mission is: To treat our patient's pain quickly, efficiently and cost effectively with most modern treatment available for pain treatment so that the patient can say: "Now I am able to walk, eat and sleep better. I enjoy my leisure actively with family and friends with a smile."
