Spring Hill, FL – Oak Hill Hospital announces the appointment of Michael Torres, MD, as Chief Medical Officer. Dr. Torres comes to Oak Hill Hospital with a wide range of experience in the public sector. He has served as medical director of an emergency department, Chief of Staff of a hospital, and as the Chief Medical Officer for a health department. Dr. Torres is certified by the American Board of Family Medicine and is a board certified physician executive by the American Association for Physician Leadership. Dr. Torres has also completed the Squadron Commander School and Air War College during his 26 years of service with the United States Air Force Reserve/Air National Guard where he retired as a colonel.
Dr. Torres did his undergraduate studies at Miami-Dade Community College, Broward Community College, and Biscayne College before receiving his medical degree from Spartan Health Sciences University. He completed his residency in family medicine at SUNY (State University of New York) at Buffalo. He also earned an MBA from Touro University.
