Brooksville, Florida – Oak Hill Hospital announces the appointment of Kathy Weigand, Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN), Board Certified Specialist in Gerontological Nutrition (CSG), and Licensed Dietitian (LD/N), as clinical nutrition director and HCA West Florida’s North Market.
Ms. Weigand has worked in a variety of settings during her career, including: corporate roles in the post-acute care setting; clinical and management positions in acute care and long-term rehab hospitals; food service management in an industrial cafeteria; development of a weight loss program for a physician group; and health and wellness counseling to university students.
Ms. Weigand comes to Oak Hill Hospital from the Morrison Living/Compass Group in Atlanta, Georgia, where she served as the director of nutrition and wellness. She is a member of and has held leadership roles in several professional organizations. Most notably, she served as Chair of the National Dietetics in Health Care Communities practice group of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics.
