Brooksville, FL. - (September 28, 2020) - A new minimally invasive option for hysterectomy procedures is now available to patients at Oak Hill Hospital. Known as vNOTES (vaginal natural orifice transluminal endoscopic surgery), the advanced surgical technique provides many benefits to female patients, such as less postoperative pain, no visible scars, and faster recovery time.
Dr. Niloufer Kero of Suncoast OB/GYN has completed advanced training on the innovative approach to hysterectomy and other common gynecological procedures. Dr. Kero, who is the only surgeon in the area performing this technique, has been offering vNOTES to enhance patient care for women.
“As a surgeon, I am continually seeking opportunities and training to offer the most advanced techniques to my patients,” said Dr. Kero. “As a less invasive option, vNOTES provides many benefits to my patients, including quicker recovery time, less pain and no visible scarring.”
“The vast majority of my patients are able to leave the hospital the same day they were admitted for their vNOTES hysterectomy procedure. They appreciate the fact that they can return to their busy lives more quickly and get back to what matters most,” said Dr. Kero.
