Oak Hill Hospital Volunteer Association Awards $1,000 Scholarships to 15 High School Students for the 2014 School Year

Spring Hill, FL – Oak Hill Hospital announces that a total of 15 scholarships of $1,000 each were awarded to graduating seniors by the Oak Hill Hospital  Volunteer Association, as follows:

  • Jake Bence – Weeki Wachee High School
  • Katrina Carroll – Hernando High School
  • Samira C. Consuegra – Central High School
  • Robyn Cotney – F. W. Springstead High School - Awarded scholarship in memory of Betty Jane MacDonald
  • Brennan Claude Ertl – Hernando High School
  • Brianna Fanning – Central High School
  • Yahya Hamed – Central High School
  • Catherine Hurtado – Nature Coast Technical High School
  • Ricky Ramos-Galicia – Weeki Wachee High School
  • Brittany Tercero – Nature Coast Technical High School - Awarded scholarship in memory of Betty Jane MacDonald
  • Mary Thomson - Nature Coast Technical High School - Awarded scholarship in memory of Ed McElroy
  • Jamie Vandenlangenberg – Hernando High School
  • Ravi Vemuri – F. W. Springstead High School
  • Chang-Hung Wu – F. W. Springstead High School
  • Justin Zimmerman – Hernando High School

Scholarships awarded in memory of former volunteers Betty Jane MacDonald and Bruce McElroy were largely funded by friends and families of the deceased.
