Oak Hill Hospital Announces the Appointment of Holly Norris as Director of Environmental Services

Spring Hill, Florida – Oak Hill Hospital announces the appointment of Holly Norris as Director of Environmental Services. Ms. Norris comes to Oak Hill Hospital from another HCA facility, Reston Hospital Center in Reston, Virginia, where she served as Director of Environmental Services since 2000. While at Reston she also served as Sustainability Coordinator for Reston Hospital Center for two years and she currently sits on the HCA corporate Waste Task Force where she will continue to serve. “Sustainability is very important to me. I implemented the hazardous waste RCRA, recycling, and refurbishing equipment at Reston Hospital Center before even the corporate initiatives. Before leaving Reston I made sure recycling was available for all patients. I feel that we have an obligation to keep the environment safe for the community we serve and our staff,” said Ms. Norris.
Ms. Norris is OSHA Hazmat trained. She served on numerous community boards and received the “Best of Reston Community Award” in 2010.
Ms. Norris was in the United States Army active duty for 10 years and served an additional three years as a reservist. She is a jump master, air assault and airborne. While in the service she received several military awards.
She is the mother of a 22 year old daughter, and two step-daughters (23 and 22), all of whom reside in Nashville, TN.
Ms Norris holds a BS in management from George Mason. She and her husband are both former Special Forces. Mr. Norris works for the government and is now assigned to McDill Air Force Base. She is returning to the Tampa Bay area where she grew up.
