Spring Hill, FL – Oak Hill Hospital has announced that the Heart Institute at Oak Hill Hospital offers a monthly Healthy Hearts education series for anyone interested in a healthy heart and healthy living. The next program will be held on Monday, January 9, 2012 from 4 – 5:30 pm in the cafeteria conference room at Oak Hill Hospital, 11375 Cortez Boulevard, Spring Hill, Florida 34614.
The purpose of the education series is to provide information and answer questions regarding all aspects of the heart. Anyone wishing to learn more about heart disease and heart healthy living is encouraged to attend.
This month, Samantha Wood, RN, BSN, CCRN (Critical Care Registered Nurse), Vice President of Cardiovascular Services at Oak Hill Hospital, will present “Know Your Numbers!” She will be covering all the numbers you need to know for excellent cardiac health. Knowing what your numbers mean will tell you what is normal and what is abnormal and ones that may require your attention. Ms. Wood will discuss numbers like knowing your EF, your blood pressure, cholesterol, triglycerides, labs and heart rate, to name a few. Participants will find this inaugural session of the year very enlightening.
