Spring Hill, FL – The Heart Institute at Oak Hill Hospital announces that it continues to offer its Healthy Hearts education series for anyone interested in a healthy heart and living well. The next program will be held on Monday, October 8, 2012 from 5 pm to 6 pm in the Cafeteria Conference Room - Entrance A at Oak Hill Hospital, 11375 Cortez Boulevard, Spring Hill, FL 34613. The purpose of the education series is to provide information and answer questions regarding all aspects of the heart. Anyone wishing to learn more about heart disease and heart healthy living is encouraged to attend.
The next series will feature Fernando Garcia, PTA (Physical Therapy Assistant) and Isaiah Del Pilar, COTA/L (Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant), members of the rehabilitation department at Oak Hill Hospital, who will discuss how to develop a heart healthy plan for the holidays that incorporates exercise, good diet and less stress. Fernando and Isaiah will help those who attend to develop better ways to manage the stress and the extra holiday food as the holidays approach. These highly energetic and entertaining presenters will discuss holiday travel challenges, hydration and a plan for how to safely handle the extra activities like decorating your home. There will be a time for questions and answers following the presentation.
