HCA Named "Most Admired" Healthcare Company in the World

Pasco & Hernando Counties, Florida – HCA, the parent company of Pasco/Hernando County hospitals Medical Center of Trinity, Oak Hill Hospital, and Regional Medical Center Bayonet Point, has been named the ‘World’s Most Admired Healthcare Company’ by Fortune Magazine.
The World’s Most Admired Companies study examines nine attributes: quality of management, quality of products/services, innovation, people management, use of corporate assets, social responsibility, financial soundness, long-term investment, and global competitiveness. Within the category of healthcare, HCA was ranked number one in five of those nine key attributes: quality of management, people management, use of corporate assets, long-term investment, and global competitiveness. HCA was ranked within the top four of all the other categories.
This is the second consecutive year that HCA was ranked number one in healthcare worldwide
Fortune compiles the ratings each year based on a survey of business people in each industry who are asked to vote for the companies they admire most. Apple was named this year’s most admired company across all industries. The list was published in Fortune magazine’s March 19 issue.
