Spring Hill, Florida – Oak Hill Hospital has announced a $6.5 million expansion of the Heart Institute at Oak Hill Hospital. The project will add 20 private telemetry rooms on the sixth floor adjacent to the 10 bed cardiovascular intensive care unit. The project is scheduled to be completed in the fourth quarter of 2010 and will increase Oak Hill’s licensed capacity to 234 beds.
The Heart Institute at Oak Hill Hospital opened in February 2006 and offers the community comprehensive cardiovascular services, including open heart surgery and specialized cardiology and interventional cardiac services, thus offering the highest level of patient safety.
Oak Hill Hospital has invested $33 million in new facilities and equipment since 2005. During that same time period Oak Hill Hospital has paid property taxes over $6.5 million to Hernando County.
