Hospital CEO Elected to National Board

Spring Hill, Florida – Oak Hill Hospital has announced that Mickey Smith, CEO, has been elected for a three year term to the Medical Group Management Association (MGMA) board of directors at their annual meeting in Denver, CO. This board comprises the nation’s leading medical group practice professionals.
Smith is a Board Certified medical practice executive. He currently serves on MGMA’s Professional Development Advisory Committee and the national Leadership Development Trainer Group.
During the MGMA’s Council of State Leaders meeting, Smith was awarded lifetime honorary membership in the South Carolina Medical Group Management Association (SCMGMA). Smith served as President of SCMGMA in 2001-02 and facilitated the merger of two medical practice manager associations in South Carolina to make SCMGMA one of the largest state practice manager associations in the country.
The Medical Group Management Association is the premier membership association for professional administrators and leaders of medical group practices. Since 1926, MGMA has delivered networking, professional education and resources and political advocacy for medical practice management.
