Spring Hill, Florida – Oak Hill Hospital has announced that Samantha Wood, RN, BSN (Bachelor of Science in Nursing), CCRN (Critical Care Registered Nurse), Oak Hill’s Director of Cardiovascular Services, will be guest speaker at the Heart Institute at Oak Hill Hospital’s Healthy Hearts support group meeting to be held on Monday, February 15 at 4 pm. Ms. Wood’s topic will be Women and Heart Disease. The meeting will be held at in Oak Hill Hospital’s Cafeteria Conference Room, Entrance A,11375 Cortez Boulevard, Brooksville, Florida 34614.
Samantha Wood attended nursing school in Virginia for both her RN diploma and her Bachelor of Science degree in nursing. She became an open heart nurse preceptor at Largo Medical Center and later coordinator of the critical care internship program. She was then promoted to charge nurse of the cardiovascular surgical unit and then manager of the same unit. She has extensive experience in cardiac surgery and certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center as a Critical Care Registered Nurse (CCRN).
The purpose of the Healthy Hearts support group is to provide information and answer questions regarding all aspects of your heart.
