Spring Hill, FL – The Heart Institute at Oak Hill Hospital announces that it continues to offer its Healthy Hearts Education Series for anyone interested in a healthy heart and living well. The next program will be held on Monday, December 10, 2012 from 6 pm to 7 pm at Oak Hill Hospital’s Cafeteria Conference Room, Entrance A, 11375 Cortez Boulevard, Spring Hill, FL 34613. The purpose of the education series is to provide information and answer questions regarding all aspects of the heart. Anyone wishing to learn more about heart disease and heart healthy living is encouraged to attend.
This month, Mowaffak Atfeh, M.D., board certified cardiologist, interventional cardiologist, and internal medical physician on staff at Oak Hill Hospital will present Women’s Heart Health. Dr. Atfeh will share the latest information about women’s heart disease and heart health. Heart disease is the number one killer of women in the U.S. The good news is that education and prevention can save women’s lives.
Dr. Atfeh will discuss the risk of heart disease in women and how women can take steps to prevent and control heart disease. Those who attend will learn about personal risk factors, making healthful diet changes, increasing physical activity and other ways you can reduce your risk of developing heart-related problems. Even if you already have heart disease, you can take steps to improve your health.
