Catherine Edmisten Appointed Director of Emergency Care Center

Spring Hill, Florida – Oak Hill Hospital has announced the appointment of Catherine I. Edmisten, RN, MBA as Director of its Emergency Care Center. She replaces Bob Foster who received a promotion within the HCA healthcare system.
Ms. Edmisten comes to Oak Hill Hospital from Spring Hill Regional Hospital where she served as charge nurse for the emergency department. She has lived in Spring Hill for 28 years and has held a wide range of healthcare management positions throughout Tampa Bay as well as major leadership positions in the community. Some of those positions include:
- Chief Nursing Officer/Director of Clinical Services at University Community Health Long Term Acute Care Hospital at Connerton
- Director of Nursing Support Operations, University Community Hospital, Tampa, Florida
- Director of Operations, Woodruff & Company, PA (CPA Firm), Brooksville, Florida
Ms. Edmisten also served as charge nurse at Oak Hill Hospital’s Emergency Department in 2000 – 2001.
Ms. Edmisten received her Master’s Degree in Business Administration from Saint Leo University in Saint Leo, Florida. She is pursuing a Master’s Certificate in Accounting and continues to be enrolled at Saint Leo University and is now eligible to sit for the CPA license exam. Ms. Edmisten also holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in public administration from Saint Leo and an Associate of Science degree in Nursing with high honors from Pasco-Hernando Community College in New Port Richey. Ms. Edmisten is a Florida native having been born in Dunedin, Florida. She is married to Captain Scott Edmisten, a firefighter paramedic. She has two children, two stepchildren, and four grandchildren. She also serves as 2010-2011 president of the Kiwanis Club of the Nature Coast.
